The Dorney Park makeover is complete and Grand Carnivale, the Lehigh Valley’s Must-See International Festival of 2023 is ready for its 14-day mid-summer run.
From Saturday, July 22rd through Sunday, August 6th guests will be wowed by live entertainment, delighted by incredible international cuisine, and overjoyed to bring home unique gifts and merchandise.
With that in mind it’s important to tackle as many of your questions as we can so you can come prepared to have a great time!
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about Grand Carnivale:
Does my daily admission ticket or season pass cover admission for the event?
YES! Once you are through our main gate with your season pass or daily admission ticket you are free to join in on the fun. Game tokens, merchandise and tasting cards (we’ll get to that in a minute) can be purchased separately but you can enjoy the parade, shows, music and fun!
Should I get the Grand Carnivale Bundle? What does it include?
The Grand Carnivale Bundle will save you over 45% and includes admission to the park, parking, and three (3) food tastings. It’s exactly the perfect start you need for that BIG day trip to Grand Carnivale. The bundle is valid during one visit at Grand Carnivale during the event.
Can I enjoy rides if I get the bundle?
YES! The bundle includes your admission to the park!
What is a tasting card, and do I need it?
If you’re a foodie or you want to try some of the many international dishes, we are serving up this year. This is the way to do it. You can either get six (6) tastings for $39.99* or ten (10) tastings for $59.99* (*plus taxes and fees). These tasting cards are valid multiple visits during the Grand Carnivale event. Keep in mind that beverages are sold separately.
When does Grand Carnivale start?
Saturday, July 22rd is the first day. Grand Carnivale festivities start every day at 5PM.
Is Grand Carnivale every day?
Grand Carnivale runs from July 22rd through August 6th, excluding Tuesdays!
How many parades are there and when does it (do they) start?
There is one parade at 9PM.
How many stages are there and where are they?
There is one stages this year where performances are scheduled throughout the event (after 5PM). The Midway Mainstage is located behind the Carousel .
Which countries are represented?
China, Italy, Germany, Spain and France are all represented this year.
Are there games for children and do they cost extra?
There are games for children and individuals of all ages to enjoy at Mardi’s Games and you will need tokens to participate. You can get those at the Carnivale Central tent which is located in front of the Carousel as you enter the park. There will also be Carnivale Crafts! You can create your own crown, flowering lei, or noise maker to bring with you to the Spectacle of Color Parade. Mardi’s International QR Invitational is also a free family favorite. Help Alligator King Mardi P. Gras deliver Grand Carnivale invitations to his friends around the world and earn your rewards for every country you visit.
Are cocktails served?
Yes, for an additional charge you can get different and unique beers in every country, and you can also visit our Carnivale Concoctions Bar.
