DINOSAURS ALIVE

THRILL U MATH & SCIENCE DAY

DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2015
Dorney Park brings the classroom to life at Thrill U where rides and attractions provide a deeper understanding of select principles of science and math for middle and high school students. Developed in partnership with a team from Kutztown University and several local school districts, this program allows students to gain a greater understanding of the basics of STEM education in a fun and interactive setting. Though Kutztown representatives will be on site the day of the event, the program is designed for self-use on any day you visit.

THE ART & SCIENCE OF ROLLER COASTERS

DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 8, 2015
The Art & Science of Roller Coasters is an exciting new program that will appeal to any student who has ever dreamed of building a coaster. Key managers from Great Coasters International (GCI), a leading designer and builder of quality wooden coasters, will give students an inside view of engineering and design challenges of constructing a roller coaster, while the management team from Dorney Park will provide insight to the business model of building a coaster. A rewarding opportunity for your class of engineering, math or physics students. A one-hour session.

MARKETING CAREER DAY

DATE: FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2015
The Marketing Career Day at Dorney Park returns on Friday, May 15, at 10:30 am with a 45-minute presentation at the Park that recreates a consumer-based focus-group and advertising strategy session. A classroom-based project will challenge students as if they were in an actual business setting. Students receive a Certificate of Participation and a written review of all case studies is sent to the group leaders.
