Dance companies, schools, and groups from all over the region are welcome to perform at this educational and performance based event to be held in Good Time Theatre at Dorney Park.

The 2015 Dance Festival will be offered on a total of 3 dates- including Saturday, May 9th, Saturday, May 16th & Sunday, May 17th! More dates means more performances and more groups who are able to participate in the stellar program!

SHELIA BARKER RETURNS!
We are excited to announce that Shelia Barker of the Broadway Dance Center in New York City will be returning for the 2015 Dance Festival at Dorney Park! All Dance Festival Participants are invited to participate in a morning workshop at no additional cost.
There are a limited number of performance times available per day, so reserve your date as soon as possible.
Ticket orders will be accepted up to 3 weeks prior to your selected event date. Orders must be paid by this date or your performance slot will be forfeit.
Dance Festival Performance Admission Ticket (Includes Park Admission) $40 + tax*
Ages 3 and older and is participating in the Dance Festival program. Workshop Included.
Dance Festival Performance Ticket for Season Passholders $25
Ages 3 and older and is participating in the Dance Festival program. Participant is a 2015 Season Passholder
PLEASE NOTE: Season Passes must be processed before entering the park. Workshop Included.
Dance Festival Observing Admission Ticket $30 + tax*
Ages 3 and older and are NOT performing in the Dance Festival program and DO NOT have a 2015 Season Pass.
Children 2 and younger are admitted FREE.
*5% So. Whitehall Twp. Amusement Tax is added to all Admission Tickets. No exemptions allowed.
Sheila Barker has been an educator, choreographer and performer for the past 12 years in such places as Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Europe and across the USA. She received a BFA in dance and has extensive training in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Tap, African/Dunham and Musical Theatre. Her performance background ranges from Broadway and Off-Broadway to industrials, music videos and soap operas. Sheila has choreographed many industrials, music videos and stage shows for recording artists.
The workshop will be offered the morning of the event at the Good Time Theatre. Workshops will be divided by age and begin at 9:00 am. Further details will be provided to instructors closer to the event. Workshops will last approximately 1 hour per age group.
Performance Time Limits
Solo and Duet/Trio – 3 minutes
Small and Large Groups and Lines - 3 minutes
Production - 6 minutes
In order to effectively schedule performances, we ask that a tentative performance line up be submitted with your deposit check (See registration packet). Modifications to the line up can be made up to 3 weeks prior to your assigned event date. This is required in order to send final performance schedules to all studios 2 weeks prior to your event.
NO ADDITIONAL FEES! Performance fees are INCLUDED with the performer's Dance Festival ticket. Should a studio wish to include more than 10 numbers during their performance time, a nominal fee may be assessed to the studio.
2. A Registration Packet will be emailed to you. Full Registration Packet, including estimated number of performances and participants by age, must be submitted with a $200 deposit check to reserve date.
*Studios may register to select their preferred performance date prior to purchasing tickets. Date will not be assigned without Registration Packet.
*Adjustments to your performance line up can be made up to 1 month prior to your event date.
*Deposit check will be applied to final ticket order when received. Checks made out to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
3. Submit Ticket Order and Participant List no later than 3 weeks prior to your assigned performance date.
*Performance times will be assigned first come, first serve based on when paid ticket orders are received. Performance information will be sent 2 weeks prior to your performance date. Ticket Order will NOT be completed without a full participant list accounting for each performer ticket purchased.
