Lehigh Valley man completes 1,000 rides on Iron Menace
Iby Shaw, a local roller coaster enthusiast, made history tonight when he completed his record 1000th ride on Dorney Park’s new for 2024 roller coaster, Iron Menace.
Shaw has been compiling rides since the official opening back on April 17th. Park leaders estimate that Shaw has averaged about 7 rides a day on the dive coaster which features a 95-degree 160 foot drop and four inversions.
Shaw says he wants to be an inspiration to young roller coaster enthusiasts.
Park leaders who greeted him with a sign commemorating the achievement as well as a bag full of Iron Menace swag say that they’re impressed with the accomplishment.
Dorney Park is open for three more weekends for it’s Halloween Haunt and fall daytime activities. For tickets or information you can head to dorneypark.com.
