Iron Menace Train Placed in Station

The first train is in the station and Dorney Park is getting ready to begin testing and commissioning its brand-new roller coaster Iron Menace.
The moving of the first train from a storage area in the park to the station is yet another milestone for the park as they inch closer to those first rides for guests.
The Northeast’s first dive roller coaster which features a record-tying 95-degree drop, first-ever tilted loop on a dive, and three other exhilarating inversions is set to open this spring.
In video shared on social media and sent to media partners across the country, the park’s maintenance team along with help from the ride manufacturer can be seen lifting the train to the station, which is being themed to mimic an old steel factory.
Just a week ago the park announced that the track had been completed.
Park leaders say they are excited to see the train take its first dive in the days to come.
"Our crews have been incredible throughout this process,” said Ryan Eldredge, Dorney Park’s Communications and Public Relations Manager. "There is so much that goes into the construction of a state-of-the-art ride like this and it is so impressive to watch the talented and dedicated men and women we have working on this accomplish so much in such a short period of time.”
Park leaders say that crews will continue to work on ride theming around the Iron Menace.
The park is also working diligently on several other projects around the park in preparation for Opening Day on May 10, 2024; more details to be released later.
Dorney Park is dedicated to keeping its guests informed about the ongoing construction of Iron Menace. Regular updates will be provided as the project continues to unfold. Visitors can look forward to being part of history as they prepare to embark on an unforgettable adventure filled with twists, turns, and heart-pounding drops.
