A Piece of Dorney’s Heart And History

Debora Plarr Weinstein spent nearly 40 years growing up alongside Dorney Park.

Her family’s history with the park begins with her great grandfather, Jacob Plarr, who brought the first carousel to the Dorney property in 1901.

Debora spent much of her time at the park both working and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Debora’s grandfather, father, brother, and husband all had a hand in running the park until it was eventually sold to Cedar Fair in 1992.

In this video, Debora reminisces and shares stories of her time at Dorney as she revisits the park for the first time since it was sold:

We cherish Dorney’s history and all of the people who contributed to the beloved park it is today.
