Demon Drop: Free Falling Fun
August 5, 2020What goes up, must come down...and down, and down at an incredible speed on Dorney Park's very of Demon Drop. Even though it drops you into the air, it truly is an uplifting experience! Lean back and let this ride take you to new heights, 131 feet to be exact!
This free falling, adrenaline fueling thrill ride is the last standing first generation Intamin drop tower in all of the U.S., in operation. Demon Drop was raised in 1983 at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio and dropped into Dorney Park in 2009, opening in July of 2010. Guests have thought highly of it ever since.

Strap in, relax and prepare to climb ten stories high in only six seconds. The top of the tower offers an amazing aerial view of the Lehigh Valley surrounding the park. You can even wave hello to Dominator riders as they defy gravity right across the midway! But you'll have seconds to do so before the floor falls away suddenly and plummets the car 60 feet in only 2.5 seconds.
The free fall makes riders feel freer than ever as they fall to the bottom of the tower and continue to roll until gravity slows them down.
Though it may sound a little intimidating, Demon Drop is fun on so many levels.
