The day has FINALLY COME! Grand Carnivale at Dorney Park begins TODAY!

Each night from 5:00 PM to close from July 20 through August 11, you can celebrate the rich traditions of Germany, India, France, Italy and China. From sampling authentic food and drink to taking in cultural performances and dabbling in arts and crafts, there is so much to see and do at #DPGrandCarnivale.

Here are three ways you can make the most of your night at this larger-than-life festival.

Be Entertained

Dance the night away with non-stop live entertainment at various locations throughout the park. Featuring lively bands, talented solo artists and unique performers, each country will take guests on a high-energy musical journey.

Prince of India in Grand Carnivale Parade at Dorney Park

The party turns up a notch during the Spectacle of Color Parade, which starts each night at 8:30 p.m. on the Main Midway. This dazzling procession features 9 decorated floats, 100+ performers and the rhythms from cultures around the world. The parade begins with a welcome from the King of Carnivale float and is followed by a 13.5” Indian elephant float created solely out of drums. Don’t be afraid to drum along when invited!

(Insiders Knowledge: The King and Queen of Carnivale are named Carl Nivale and Cara Nivale)

The parade makes its way around the Main Midway for its conclusion, but the party isn’t over yet. The end of the Spectacle of Color Parade marks the beginning of the Carnivale Street Party. Taking place in the Main Midway between the Antique Carousel and Wave Swinger, this party features bright lights and an interactive dance party until capping off the festivities with some fireworks as the park closes for the night.

Learn Something New

Another way to celebrate cultures all around the world is by learning about them. At Grand Carnivale, Ambassadors will give guests an up close and personal look at what makes each country special. Whether it’s visualizing what a visit to India is like or exploring the food and wine culture of Italy, there is always a chance to immerse yourself in the different countries of Grand Carnivale.

Where can these countries be found?

Kids have the chance to make their own arts and crafts in each country. Creations that can be made include Chinese paper lanterns, Carnivale crowns, colorful beaded bracelets and masks. In addition to Carnivale Crafts, kids can embark on the Adventure Club Challenge. This expedition is filled with puzzles to solve and stamps to earn, to ultimately be an International Explorer and get awarded an official Adventure Club badge.

Let Your Taste Buds be your Guide

Take a culinary tour around the world with Dorney Park's 15 specialty food items. From German Apple Strudel to Italian Meatballs, guests are treated to a taste of each country. In addition to the food options, there will be multiple samples of beer and wine paired with each country.

Guests can enjoy six tastings of their choice with the purchase of a Grand Carnivale Tasting Card. The card can be purchased in the park at any of the Grand Carnivale food booths, as well as online or on the Dorney Park mobile app.
