Before You Leave Home
Staying safe means staying informed, and we want you to have essential information before you arrive.
Dorney Park will open with limited capacity in the park so you can maintain proper social distancing from other guests. To ensure that happens, single day ticket guests must reserve their visit date and time online in advance — Season Passholders do not need to make a reservation. You must also provide information about the current health of family and friends coming with you to the park. Here are details about what to do, what to pack, and what you can expect.
What to Do Before You Leave Home
1. Single day ticket guests: Reserve your date and arrival time in advance online.
- Single day ticket guests are invited to schedule their visits through our online reservation portal or the Store tab on the Dorney Park mobile app. Please note that your preferred visit date may not be available.
- If you have already purchased a ticket, please have your ticket number available. Select the quantity of reservations for your group. You may select up to 14 people. On the next screen, you will be able to select an available visit date and arrival time for your group. Following the date and time selection, please enter your valid ticket number(s). Once the barcodes have been validated, you will be able to schedule your reservation(s).
- If you have not purchased a single day ticket yet, please purchase your ticket online or through our mobile app. You will then select an available visit date and arrival time as part of the purchase transaction.
- After you have made the reservation, you will receive a confirmation screen and shortly thereafter, an email confirmation. These will help you confirm that the transaction was processed.
- The reservation will be attached to your ticket and you will only need to present it to be scanned for entry. Please note that each single day ticket guest must have a valid admission ticket to enter the park in addition to the reservation.
- If you need to purchase a parking pass, we recommend you do so now to avoid paying at the parking toll booth.
2. Complete the pre-entry health assessment.
- On the day of your visit, open the mobile app and complete the Health Assessment Questionnaire. Only one questionnaire is required per group. Your responses will be cleared each night, so this must be completed each time you come to the park.
- If your group does not pass the health assessment, we will ask you to reschedule your visit to a different date and time.
3. What to pack before you arrive.
- Your Season Pass (physical card, or mobile barcode), printed tickets, or mobile tickets.
- A face covering for each guest two years and older.
- A mobile phone with the Dorney Park app downloaded and "Location Services" enabled. At least one person in your group must have this, but we recommend as many guests as possible have the app downloaded to their mobile device.
Frequently Asked Questions
In the past, I could show up at the park, buy my ticket and get in. Is that still the case?
Unfortunately, no. Due to social distancing, we must limit the number of guests at the park. Single day ticket guests must schedule their arrival date and time online or on our mobile app.
Who will need to make a reservation?
Single day ticket guests will need to make a reservation before visiting the park. Please see details below for guests who are planning to visit as part of an organized specific day group. Guests two years of age and under will be able to enter the park on their parent’s or guardian’s reservation. Season Passholders do not need to make a reservation.
I am planning to come to the park as part of a specific day group/organization visit – how do I get my reservation?
A group sales representative at Dorney Park will coordinate an arrival time for your group with the group coordinator. Please contact the representative who is helping coordinate your group for the reservation arrival time and any other instructions regarding tickets.
I bought a ticket somewhere other than the Dorney Park website – how do I get my reservation?
All single day tickets can obtain a reservation through the park website or mobile app. You will need to enter the ticket barcode number to access the reservation system and attach the reservation to your ticket.
I have a ticket that’s valid for more than one day – how do I get my reservations for all of the days I want to visit?
You can make a reservation for as many days as your ticket is valid for (typically two) at the same time or as desired. The reservation process is the same as for a single day ticket but you would complete those steps two or more times based on the ticket type.
Will each person in my party need a reservation or can I book one for the entire party?
Each visiting single day ticket guest will need a reservation attached to their ticket for every visit to the park. You will need to enter each ticket number to add the reservation to each one individually. You can enter up to 14 numbers in one transaction to ensure everyone in your party gets the same date and time reservation. Guests two years of age and under will be able to enter the park on their parent’s or guardian’s reservation. Season Passholders do not need to make a reservation.
When can I start making reservations to visit the park?
Single day ticket guests are invited to schedule their visits through our online reservation portal or the Store tab on the Dorney Park mobile app. Season Passholders do not need to make a reservation.
How often can I visit with my Season Pass?
Each Season Passholder may visit as often as they would like.
How will I find out when the reservation system is available and when additional days or space are added?
The Reservation Portal is now available. We will post information on additional days or space on our social media platforms in addition to sending emails to all guests in our database. Please watch your email inbox and follow the park on social media.
If the day I want to visit is fully booked, what can I do?
There is no waitlist process, but you are welcome to continue to check back as additional availability may be added based on updates to local capacity guidelines and/or cancellations. Or you can pick a different day with inventory available to ensure you can visit the park.
Will more reservation spaces be added after a day goes online for reservations?
If a reservation is cancelled, that space will be added to the inventory available online. And periodically, we may be able to adjust total inventory or inventory by time slot. Please visit the Reservation Portal for information and updates of available inventory.
I have a Platinum Season Pass and want to visit another Cedar Fair park – how do I make a reservation?
Platinum Passholders wanting to visit other Cedar Fair parks should visit the website of the park they want to visit to view their visitation policies/make a reservation. Not all Cedar Fair parks have announced plans for reopening yet, so not all parks are accepting reservations or welcoming guests.
Note on Schlitterbahn
At Schlitterbahn the reservation process is a little different. Please fill out this form and we will help secure your reservation. Our team will work with you to try to accommodate your request.
Can I buy a Season Pass or ticket at the park?
No, you will not be able to purchase Season Passes or tickets at the park. Please purchase your Season Pass or ticket online prior to visiting the park. For single day ticket guests, you will need the ticket number to make the online reservation that is required to visit the park.
I’m a new passholder and I have not yet visited the park to process my Season Pass. What do I need to do to before visiting?
As a new passholder without a Season Pass card, you will need to process your Season Pass. To make this easier and contact-free, you can now handle this online.
Simply create or login to your Dorney Park website account, click “Manage Passes”, click “ADD MY PASS” and enter the Season Pass Ticket ID you received when you purchased online along with any other outstanding profile information. Once you’ve completed adding your pass, you’re all set to visit. You can even add your pass to the mobile app for quick and convenient entry into the park.
*Please see Pre-K Pass page for Pre-K specific processing details
Is there an extra charge for the reservation?
There is no charge for the reservation date and time. And if that is the only item in your shopping cart, you will not need to enter credit card information to complete the transaction.
Am I required to buy parking online?
It is not required, but it is strongly recommended that you purchase parking in advance online before visiting the park.
Platinum and Regular Season Passes include parking, so you just need to have your Season Pass available to be scanned at the parking toll booth.
Some ticket packages include parking, so you just need to have the barcode for that package available to be scanned at the parking toll booth.
Otherwise, please purchase a parking voucher online. One voucher is needed per car. This will be scanned at the parking toll booth.
What happens if I cannot come on the day I booked?
If you are unable to visit the park on the selected date of your reservation, you may login to the Reservation Portal to manage your existing reservation. To login, you will need your original order number and the email address used to purchase the reservation. You may also access the direct link to the Reservation Portal from your email order confirmation under the "Manage Reservation" section.
Once you have logged in, you will need to select the reservation that you want to change. This will pull up your current reservation and allow you to select a different date and/or time. Once you have selected your new date and/or time, you can save your changes, view the new tickets, and email yourself the itinerary. The new date/time will show on the tickets in your mobile app as well.
Guests who no-show for two reservations without changing them or contacting us to cancel them are subject to penalty and blockout periods.
If the park is closed for part or all of the day due to inclement weather or another reason, you do not need to contact us. You will be able to make another reservation for a different date and time online or via the mobile app.
Can I transfer my reservation to someone else?
The reservation is attached to a specific ticket and cannot be transferred to another guest or another ticket.
Do I need to complete a health assessment questionnaire for each person in my family or group?
No, complete just one questionnaire per group.
