Information For Guests With Disabilities

At Dorney Park we are proud of our reputation for accommodating guests with disabilities through our Ride Admission Policy. To continue to provide equal access for all guests, be aware that all guests with mobility impairments or ASD will now receive a Ride Boarding Pass with wait times. The Ride Boarding Pass Program allows guests to access rides at specified times via the exit ramp in order to avoid crowds and waiting in the regular queue lines.

You may be asking yourself whether Dorney Park is appropriate for guests with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or whether your loved one on the spectrum will be able to handle the theme park experience. Dorney Park has taken steps to be well-prepared to welcome and provide accommodations for all types of disabilities, including autism and related disorders.

Dorney Park offers a Multi Sensory Room for you to use on your visit.  This room is designed for guests with sensory processing concerns.  In this area, we provide space and tools for family members and care-givers to intensify or reduce sensory stimulation in a controlled environment.  For more information regarding the Multi Sensory room, please call 610-395-3724 prior to your visit.  When at the park, please stop by Guest Services or the Family Care Center for more information.

We do not offer a discount specifically for guests with disabilities or pregnant women. Please see our Best Deals on Tickets for other publicly offered discounts.

Guests with casts and braces will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace will not fit inside the ride unit or where it will present a hazard to the guest or others.

The safety and well being of our guests is of the greatest importance at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

We have two First Aid stations.
  • Dorney Park Amusement Park First Aid is located next to the Good Time Gifts near the Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom entrance and is open until one hour after Park closing.
  • A second First Aid station, located near the Speed Slides in Wildwater Kingdom water park, is open from Wildwater Kingdom water park opening until shortly after Wildwater Kingdom water park closes.
  • Emergency Medical Technicians are available if first aid is needed.
If necessary, the Park is only a short drive to local hospitals.

Refrigeration for medication with the exception of bee sting anaphylaxis kits, is available at Dorney Park First Aid. Personal emergency medications, such as an EpiPen, should not be left in the care of First Aid, as they need to be administered without delay.

Although food and beverages are not allowed in the park, individuals who have special need/diet items due to a medical condition may bring small coolers in to accommodate such needs. These guests must have their coolers tagged at Guest services upon arrival to the Main Plaza. Coolers for this purpose must be soft sided and no larger than 10 x 10 x 12. Aside from this exception, coolers and outside food or beverage are not permitted.

For our guests with hearing disabilities, copies of our ride speeches are available at Ride Services. Copies are also available for review at each ride with a speech.

Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening systems utilize a lightweight wireless device that aid in the amplification of sound at our stage shows. These are recommended for guests with mild to moderate hearing loss. To use the system, guests should obtain a receiver at the Guest Services Office. For show venues where this system is not available please inquire to venue staff for assistance in prioritizing your seating location.

TTY/TDD Phones/Pennsylvania Relay Service
The Pennsylvania Relay Service enables people who are hearing or speech-impaired to use their TTY (Text Telephone Yoke) to place calls and receive calls from hearing people anywhere.  The Pennsylvania Relay Service can be reached by dialing 7-1-1. Telephones can be found throughout the Park. For guests with hearing impairments, a Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) is available at Guest Services.

Sign Language Interpretation
If requested at least one week in advance, Dorney Park will provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation at Planet Snoopy Showplace, Center Stage, and Good Time Theatre. To arrange for sign language services, please send an email listing the dates of your visit and the shows you would like to see on each day to

Guests requiring a handicap parking space should turn on their hazard lights and ask a traffic director for the exact location. State issued permits are required to use these spaces. Don't forget to turn off your lights! In addition, there is an area to the right of the main entrance designated as a drop-off or pick-up area for our guests with mobility issues.
Guests with any type of prosthesis should not ride Charlie Brown's Wind Up, Dominator, Hang Time, Hydra, Meteor, Possessed, Revolution, Screamin’ Swing, Stinger, Talon or Wave Swinger unless they can ensure the device is properly secured and will remain in place during the ride. If there is any concern with the prosthesis becoming dislodged during the rides, guests should visit Ride Services for assistance. The manufacture of the Screamin’ Swing prohibits prosthetic devices at or above the knee. Manufacture of Possessed and Demon Drop require that guests with prosthetic devices must provide documentation from the manufacture of their prosthetic device guaranteeing that the prosthetic device has been designed to remain in place on a high speed roller coaster ride exceeding a maximum of 68 MPH with maximum G forces from -1 to 5 G's, with a sufficient safety factor for single point failure items. Guests with prosthetics which do not have any exposed metal parts are generally allowed on all Wildwater Kingdom attractions. Please consult with a member of management at Ride Services prior to riding to ensure that you have a safe riding experience.
The following rest room facilities have stalls that meet ADA guidelines for our guests with disabilities: Main Plaza, Planet Snoopy, Main Midway, Coasters Restaurant, Hydra, The Whip, Road Rally, Steel Force and both of Wildwater Kingdom's changing area restrooms. Private restrooms facilities for guests needing the assistance of another guest are available at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom's First Aid locations. Family restrooms are located at the Family Care Center in Planet Snoopy™ and across from the Good Time Theater on the corner of the Good Time Gifts building.
Many rides at Dorney Park are dynamic and thrilling. There are inherent risks in riding any amusement ride. For your protection, each ride is rated for its special features, such as high speed, steep drops, sharp turns or other dynamic forces. If you choose to ride, you accept all of these risks. Participate responsibly. You should be in good health to ride safely. You know your physical conditions and limitations, Dorney Park does not. If you suspect your health could be at risk for any reason, or you could aggravate a pre-existing condition of any kind, DO NOT RIDE! Restrictions for guests of extreme size (height or weight) are posted at certain rides. Guests with disabilities should refer to our Ride Admission Policy available at the Ride Service Office.

Guests with a history of recent surgery, heart trouble/high blood pressure, neck trouble, back trouble, or any other condition that may be aggravated by riding, or who are pregnant, should carefully heed all warning signs at a ride entrance. If you are in doubt about your ability to safely experience a ride or would like more rider information, please request our Guest Assistance Guide at Ride Services Office in the Main entrance Plaza. Pennsylvania Act No. 1994-58 requires that riders must obey all warnings and directions regarding rides and must behave in a manner that will not cause or contribute to injury to themselves or others. Failure to comply is cause for dismissal from the Park with NO REFUND GIVEN.

Service animals are welcome at Dorney Park.  Service animals must be controlled with a “restraining device” at all times while on our property. There is a limit of one service animal per guest. Due to the nature of most rides, service animals must remain with a non-riding member of your party. We are not permitted to take control of your service animal. Service animals are not permitted in water attractions, wet decks, wading pools, or lazy rivers. A relief area is located next to the Thunder Creek Mountain Restrooms. Please stop by Ride Services for more information.

Entrances are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs at the admission gates and aisles in most restaurants, shops and food stands are designed for easy movement of a wheelchair. Most shows and attractions are accessible. Information for accessibility of specific rides and attractions is available at Dorney Park Ride Services Office.

For boarding rides, those guests with restricted mobility and one riding companion may enter via the special access entrance at an assigned boarding time comparable to actual wait times. This enables other members of your party to wait in line. Special access entrances are intended to accommodate guests who require the use of wheelchairs.

On most rides, guests will have to transfer from their wheelchair to the ride unit. Park employees are not permitted to assist with transfer into the ride compartment. See Rider Safety Sign at ride entrance for special access entrance.

Segway human transporters are not permitted at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

Wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs and service animals are welcome at Dorney Park. You may bring your own wheelchair or electric wheelchair to the Park.
Wheelchair rental is available at Stroller Rental located inside the Park Entrance near Good Time Gifts near the Main Entrance, however supply is very limited.
  • Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Reservations for rental items are not accepted.
  • A rental fee, refundable deposit and photo ID are required.
  • Wheelchairs--$15.00 each*
  • Electric Wheelchairs (must be 18 years of age to rent)--$50.00*
 *in addition to the rental fee a $5.00 deposit AND photo ID is required for each item rented. Deposits are returned as a $5 FastPay giftcard.
