• NR1117 DORNEY PARK ANNOUNCES A NEW ROLLER COASTER AND LOW INTRODUCTORY SEASON PASS PRICING FOR 2012

  - Stinger, an eighth coaster, is coming to Dorney Park in Allentown, PA. The ride’s side-by-side lift and release hills stand 138ft tall, making the structure resemble a scorpion ready to strike. The Park has already broken ground on the project and expects completion well before opening day of the 2012 season. Stinger’s twenty-eight passenger train will reach speeds of up to 55mph as riders sit face-to-face and get flipped six times as they race along the 1,014ft of overhead track both forward then backward. Dorney also announced that park goers can now lock-in the best price on a 2012 Season Pass of only $89.99 by purchasing when Passes go on-sale on Saturday, September 3.
