Cash Control:
There are several cash control positions available as a courier, prepper or teller. These positions require counting, depositing, issuing and receiving revenue from within the Park.

Admissions

The Admissions team is one of the most important departments at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. They have a direct impact on each guests’ experience and it is our responsibility to provide a safe, clean, and FUN experience for each of them. Park Admissions employs ticket takers, season pass hosts, gate cashiers, parking cashiers, and guest service representatives. Each location has its own unique set of responsibilities, but one aspect that is essential to every Admissions location is being friendly and courteous to our guests. Admissions employees leave a lasting first impression which exceeds guest expectations by providing operations excellence and adhering to principles of intergrity.

Gate Cashier:
Gate Cashiers assist guests purchasing admission tickets to the park. Includes explaining prices and discount promotions, ringing purchases on a computerized cash register, accepting valid coupons and payment, and distribute admission tickets to guests. Also, cashiers ensure that guests purchase the correct ticket type based on age and height for each member of their party, helping the guest to make an informed decision on the best ticket purchase for their needs based on the size of the group, number of planned visits, and current promotional offerings.
Parking Cashier:
Parking Cashiers greet each vehicle entering Dorney Park property through the parking lot. Cashiers sell and issue parking tickets to appropriate vehicles depending on size of vehicle and admission type. Includes explaining prices, ringing purchases on a computerized cash register, accepting valid coupons and payment, and distribute parking tickets to guests.
Ticket Taker/Season Pass Host:
Ticket Takers assist guests entering the park. They accept tickets from guests, accounting for each person entering, verifying authenticity and validity of each ticket and scanning the bar code for each admission ticket utilized. Also assists guests when exiting park, placing re-entry stamps on each guest’s hand and giving directions as necessary. In addition, Season Pass Hosts process season pass ID cards by taking photographs with web cameras and completing data entry of the guest’s information.
Guest Service Representative:
Guest Service Representatives greet guests, provide park information as requested, and assist guests in having the best experience possible at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. Representatives also handle comments or complaints from guests, ensuring that the guest receives service matching the standards and expectations set by Dorney Park. Services are to be provided in a courteous manner and must be based upon a thorough knowledge of the park and its operation. Marketing and PR majors should enjoy this position. Often qualifies for internships.

Food Operations

If working with dynamic people in a fast-paced and challenging atmosphere is up your alley, then the Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom Food Operations Division is for you! There are many positions available including the following:

Catering

Host/Hostess:
Assists in the operation of catered picnics by cooking and serving food at one of our outdoor picnic pavilions. Position also requires clean-up duties, including dish washing, trash removal, and overseeing the picnic area.
Cafeteria Staff:
Responsible for preparing quantities of various food items for the employee cafeterias. Interacting with Park personnel in a fast-paced environment. Cash register experience is beneficial but not required.

Food Service

Host/Hostess:
Handles customer sales in a prompt and courteous manner. Duties include ringing sales on a cash register and following company cash handling procedures, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
Cook:
Works in a fast-paced kitchen environment, as part of a team to prepare quality food items in an attractive presentation. Keep a clean and sanitary work area following company safety procedures. Previous cooking experience desirable but not required.
Server:
Greets and waits on guests in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner. Thorough knowledge of menu items to encourage high volume sales. Accountable for all guest checks registered to them. Must keep assigned section clean and orderly. Observe and follow state laws governing the sale and serving of alcoholic beverages.
Bus Person:
Maintains an assigned table and counter area of Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. Clears and cleans tables quickly, properly disposing of trash. Sweeps area as needed. Assists guests as required.

Warehouse

Attendant:
Assists with Warehouse operations including unloading delivery trucks, putting product in assigned areas, and delivering product throughout the park. Inspect and verify inbound freight. Compare purchase orders to delivered quantities for accuracy. Perform miscellaneous jobs related to Warehouse operation, such as cleaning location and vehicles. Follow safe operating procedures while using company vehicles and equipment. Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.

Requirement for All Supervisor Positions: Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.

Games Department

Step right up, the Games Department wants you! This department is looking for people with an enthusiastic attitude and friendly smile. The following positions are available in this department:

Games Operator:
These individuals must be outgoing and promote game play by talking on a microphone. Operators must greet and thank each guest that they interact with on a daily basis. They will provide guests with the opportunity to play games by explaining rules and announcing winners. Operators are responsible for keeping the area clean at all times. They are also responsible for organizing and stocking their stands to maintain a neat appearance.
Scale Operator:
These individuals attract our guests by using a microphone, to come play our "Guess Your Weight, Age, or Birthday" game. They need to be enthusiastic and want to have fun with guests. Operators must greet and thank each guest that they interact with on a daily basis. Operators are responsible for keeping the area clean at all times. They are also responsible for organizing and stocking their stands to maintain a neat appearance.
Locker Attendant:
These individuals are responsible for lockers throughout the Park. They must feel comfortable handling money and operate a cash register. Operators must greet and thank each guest that they interact with on a daily basis. Attendants are responsible for keeping locker areas clean at all times.

Marketing & Group Sales

Let your customer service side shine through. These departments are responsible for survey taking, large group sales and catered outings. Experience the Park through the guest’s eyes and help them make the most of their day. Support Staff members perform a variety of duties in support of the group sales and marketing functions on a rotating and "as needed" basis.

Picnic Grove Attendants:
Provide access control and directional information for catered picnic groves. Qualifications: Mature, responsible individuals with a positive attitude. Requires ability to listen well and communicate clearly in a calm and courteous manner. Also need to work quickly, neatly and accurately and to assume responsibility without constant supervision. Must be neat and well groomed. Flexibility in work schedule is a must. Picnic Grove Attendant positions require standing for long periods of time as the ability to handle extreme weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, etc.), and it is an outdoor position.

Maintenance

All interested applicants must have basic knowledge for the specified position listed below. Work environment requires the individual to work outdoors and in various types of weather. Some of the positions below require the applicant to have his/her own hand tools. All seasonal employees must adhere to all Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom policies and grooming standards. Individual must be able to follow instructions and adhere to all safety rules. Seasonal Maintenance employees must be willing to work scheduled hours, which may include days or nights, weekends and holidays. Some positions require the applicant to possess a valid driver’s license. All applicants must be aware that all personnel may be called upon to support the operation and maintenance of Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. All jobs require a minimum age of 18 (except seasonal Landscaper). Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.


 

Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic Positions

 

Seasonal Carpenter:
Must have basic working knowledge of carpentry trade and own basic carpentry tools. Must be able to work on high structures.
Seasonal Electrician:
Basic understanding of commercial electrical systems. Prior vocational school or other studies is helpful.
Seasonal Electrician Helper:
Requires basic electrical & mechanical skills.
Seasonal Plumber / HVAC Technician:
Basic knowledge of plumbing and/or HVAC skills required to service and maintain park equipment. EPA Certification helpful. Understanding of basic principles and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC/R systems.
Seasonal Laborers:
General Park cleaning and maintenance.
Seasonal Landscaper:
Basic landscaping duties such as mowing grass, pruning trees and bushes, planting flowers, watering plants. Prior landscape experience, a plus. Experience in Landscape Maintenance.
Seasonal Ride / Maintenance Mechanics:
General mechanical ability to assist in maintaining/troubleshooting and repairing rides and equipment. Understand basic mechanical applications.
Seasonal Waterpark Mechanics:
General ability to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting/replacing equipment. A strong mechanical background, spray applications of paint/coatings, foam/fiberglass repairs knowledge, a plus.
Seasonal (off-season) Painters:
Sanding, taping, fiberglass, patching and application of various paints and coatings to rides, buildings and other surfaces. Prior painting or trade school background is required.
Seasonal Plumber:
Basic knowledge of plumbing and/or HVAC skills required to service and maintain park equipment.
Seasonal Graphic Services:
Some training in commercial graphic arts and an interest in the sign trade.

Merchandise Department

If you are creative, imaginative and hard-working, there are opportunities for you in the Merchandise Department. Join our team and assist guests in making the best purchase to remind them of their special day at Dorney Park.

Merchandise Sales Associate – Gift Shops:
Responsibilities include handling guests’ purchases of souvenirs. Applicants must be willing to handle money and operate a cash register. Previous cashiering experience is a plus, but not required. Applicants will also be responsible for keeping the store clean; this includes sweeping, dusting, and mopping as required. Sales Associates are also responsible for stocking the store as needed to replenish supplies of product, receiving shipments, ticketing items with proper price and SKU, as well as keeping the store neat and organized.
Merchandise Sales Associate – Photo Operations:
Responsibilities include handling guests’ purchases of souvenir pictures. Applicants must be willing to handle money and operate a cash register. Previous cashiering experience is a plus, but not required. Photo Operations Associates are responsible for printing out guests’ photos, keeping items, such as key chains, stocked and ready to go, as well as using a microphone (if stand is equipped with it) to promote sales. Sales Associates are also required to use salesmanship to up-sell additional items such as photos, key chains, and frames to guests. Applicants will also be responsible for keeping the store clean; this includes sweeping, dusting, and mopping as required.
Merchandise Sales Associate – Airbrush Tattoo Artist:
Responsibilities include airbrushing tattoos for guests and accepting payment for them. Applicants must be willing to handle money and operate a cash register. Previous cashiering experience is a plus, but not required. Applicants need not to have any artistic ability, the tattoos are stencils and we will train you on how to apply them. Sales Associates are also required to use salesmanship to up-sell additional items such as glitter and additional colors to guests. Sales Associates are also responsible for stocking the tattoos as needed to replenish supplies of each design and may also be responsible for assisting their Team Leader with weekly inventories, as well as keeping the tattoos neat and organized. Applicants will also be responsible for keeping the airbrush guns and the area around their cart clean; this includes sweeping, cleaning up trash, and cleaning out guns as required.

Park Operations

The Park Operations department offers many opportunities. From exhilarating roller coasters to a slow train ride, this Department has everything under the sun. These positions are physical and involve working outdoors in all types of weather. Individuals must be able to answer questions that guests may ask and offer assistance when necessary. Some positions in this department include:

Ride Operator:
Individuals in this position operate the controls of the ride. In addition, these individuals assure that the ride, the area around the ride, and the park remains clean and attractive throughout the day. Individuals must be able to assist guests as they enter and exit, operate controls, watch the ride, communicate safety instructions to guests, and, clean the ride and ride area when needed. Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.
Ride Attendant:
Individuals in this position assist in the overall operation of the ride. Individual must be able to assist guests as they enter and exit, communicate safety instructions to guests and clean the ride and the ride area when needed. Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.
Park Services Attendant:
A Park Services Attendant is responsible for overall Park cleanliness.  Individuals are responsible for upholding one of the Park's key cornerstones to success by ensuring the cleanliness of the Park's midways, trashcans, restrooms and more. Park Services Attendants need to be self-motivators who are personable and approachable as there is a high level of guest interaction.

In addition, there are office clerk, cashier and seasonal supervisory positions available in this department.

Live Entertainment

Costumed Character:
These lovable costumed characters appear daily in Camp Snoopy, a play area designed exclusively for our youngest guests. Those planning to apply for these positions should keep the following height restrictions in mind: You must be 4’8”-5’2”. Park Ambassador
Requirements: This is high exposure position that entails answering questions about Dorney Park, taking family pictures and offering assistance when necessary. Also responsible for the overall cleanliness of the midway, grassy areas, trash cans, etc. Also responsible for performing valuable guest relations work. This is a physical position, involving continuous walking and working outdoors in all types of weather the entire shift. May be asked to assist the other departments, as needed based on staffing. Most employees will work a mid-morning to early evening shift or early afternoon to late evening shift.
Qualifications: Must have an outgoing personality and be willing to take the initiative to meet and greet people. Should be able to communicate effectively, offer a pleasant appearance, work well without constant supervision, help people in a courteous manner and be willing to receive positive as well as negative feedback from guests. Must be able to move quickly and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to work well in congested areas with extremely large crowds of people. Courtesy, alertness, and a positive attitude are necessary. Must be safety conscious and able to work outside in the sun for long periods of time. Qualified applicants must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, be capable of handling large amounts of responsibility, and possess initiative and a sincere desire to work hard to maintain Dorney Park’s reputation for cleanliness. Must be well groomed and self-disciplined. It is required that all must be able to comprehend and speak the English language.
Stage Managers, Sound/Lighting, Technicians, Dressers

Security Department

This department is committed to providing Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom guests with a safe, clean and fun-filled environment. Positions are available for Criminal Justice or related majors. All Officers must be able to pass substance abuse testing. The following positions are available:

Certified Officer:
Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees. Various duties include, but are not limited to, foot patrol, bike patrol, access control, crowd control and problem solving.
Uncertified Officer:
Duties include, but are not limited to, vehicle patrol and transport, access control, loss prevention and security communication.
Traffic Personnel:
Duties include, but are not limited to, traffic and parking management.

Wildwater Kingdom

The aquatics safety staff of Wildwater Kingdom ensures the safety of our guests while helping to provide the most enjoyable experience possible. The following positions are available for energetic and dedicated individuals:

Special Facility Lifeguard:
Individuals are able to work in all facilities in Wildwater Kingdom regardless of depth.
Shallow Water Lifeguard:
Individuals are able to work in all facilities that are five feet deep or less.

Requirements for all Lifeguard Positions: Lifeguards must be at least 16 years of age, in good physical condition, and satisfy the swimming pre-requisites in accordance with the International Lifeguard Training Program. Lifeguard training will be provided by Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. Must be able to pass substance abuse testing.

Tube Repair:
Maintain and service all tubes in Wildwater Kingdom. Maintain and load Aquablast tubes during operation of the ride. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of pools.
Aquatics Crew:
Maintain a swift and safe flow of guests in all lines in Wildwater Kingdom. Enforce all existing rules and help with distribution of tubes when necessary. Help keep tubes stacked during operation and before leaving at the end of the day. Must be able to pass swim test.
